Boob Wraps

The Kanu Unchou costume is finished, Crescent Staff and all, but every time I wear it, I have trouble with the bindings. Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep them from slipping other than tape? I'll be wearing it to Otakon in July and I have a feeling it won't stand up to my tots bouncing around, the heat, and me sweating. Maybe sewing the bindings together, making them into one piece, like a shirt, with a zipper or something. Thoughts, suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Also, thoughts on switching to a black wig vs the purple wig? That dark purple color is so hard to find.

You can take a strapless bra and sew the wrappings to the bra itself. That should make it a bit easier then just the wrappings themselves. Ive heard of Lucy (Elfen Lied) cosplayers doing that.

I second Alandra. You can find a few strapless tops and sew fabric wrap over it.

Also, try as hard as possible to find a dark purple wig, but I'd say to stick with black or a black with a purple undertone. Bright purple often ends up looking cheap and doesn't tend to photograph well unless the wig is higher priced.

You could use sock glue. My friend uses it for Irish Dancing and I believe a lot of schoolgirls use it to hold up their thigh-highs (?). Test it on your skin first. Boobs are sensitive, man.

Also, for the wig, epiccosplay.com

I definitely vote for sewing the wraps together to a shirt or bra. That way you don't have to worry about constantly adjusting them.

As for the dark purple wig: http://arda-wigs.com/023.html I'd suggest combining the Le Tigre along with the Long Ponytail clip.

Sew the bandages together and sewing them to a bra is a good idea, also consider maybe using a body stocking, it is like full body sheer pantyhose. you can sew stuff to in and not worry about it coming off. I use it for princess kraehe.

Also consider if you use a stretchy material the tighter it is the more likely it is to stay put.

Wow. Thank you everyone! I think I'll try sewing the wraps to a strapless. I have one I never wear anymore that should work perfectly. Looking into those wigs as we speak. You guys rock. <3

Use sticky bandages and add the loose ends by ether pinning them on with safety pins or stitching them once your wrapped. The nice thing about sticky bandage is that it can last the hole day without moving, fraying or loosening up on you. You should beable to find them at any pharmacy.
