One thing's for sure though, this community of individuals who make Blizzard / Blizzcon costumes has never ceased to amaze me.

Hey everyone, i'm planning to make a tier 5 priest cosplay, but i can't seem to get my head around the fabrics that would work the best. What would you guys suggest?

I was planning on keeping my Orc Totem(s) more secretive until the next Blizzcon since I've never seen any done before, but I am not going to wait til 2013 lol. I'm going to test them out at Gencon and Dragon*Con anyway, maybe even massively revamp them, but I am making pretty good progress. Here are the finished sides. I want to make them more accurate in the future but for my first attempt I was quite pleased. I'm only making the Water Totem (Resto Spec!) until I can figure out a better way to move around with all 4. There's more making-of type pics in my gallery.

I've actually bought a few things of fabric for this costume and I'm playing around with it. So far, I like what I have. If I remember, I will go home tonight to take a picture of the materials I purchased (all from JoAnn's for around 80ish).

Looks great so far!

The only thing I can think to suggest for your totems is something like Tonksie did for her sheep in '10. It was on a little base with wheels and she pulled it along with a rope.

Thanks! I should have elaborated that moving around also meant making sure they all will fit in my luggage somehow. They are scaled to 'real life proportions" as much as possible and right now I may have trouble fitting just the one (despite my plan to make it detachable and easier to pack) I love that picture XD

I have a metal candle holder thing I am using right now that is good for the one and for carrying 2-3 of them, but I am trying to figure out how I can make it (them) stand up for brief periods on its own without anything showing (or at least nothing noticeable) when on stage or something. I want the classic square positioning at the four different corners of my Shaman. I've thought of a lot of things but nothing I really like has worked so far (I can't imagine myself being able to handle four wooden things like that at once, and it would break the illusion for them for me too). I'll look into it more (and probably make a topic on it in the help section) when I am done with the rest of the current one. I took a break from foam cutting just now.

This whole thing is one big trial run right now even if I end up just modifying them a bit for the final part (or hopefully not at all). I think these and my Shaman costume in general are turning out way better than my Warlock already, and my Warlock doesn't even need that much done to it before I'll be satisfied.

Hopefully this helps you. I've tried selecting fabric close enough to the actual color of the gear. The blue fabrics are a silky type, although the light blue one is a bit heavier than the others. The white is a linen fabric, and the "gold" is some thick grey canvas type fabric with the gold on the backside. I will use this for the trim and whatnot.

I'm looking around trying to find if anyone's done any Warrior armour sets - specifically T1. >.> I'd googled and searched here on coscom and deviantart. I might be tackling it sometime next year... A little scared and intimidated.

Lol, might wanna be careful with those spikes! Don't want to gouge anyone's eye out because you turned around too quickly ! However it would keep the creepy guys from getting too close!

Update on my end: Just moved...again, but I managed to get a lot of work done on Kerrigan! Just waiting on some money to finish up the dread locks of doom, finished hands (minus painting), working on feet now, and will be starting the wing harness in a couple months! I "should" have it done for Blizzcon 2013, and I might be working on an awesome secret side project with my boyfriend for him to wear!

Hope everyone is doing well in their endeavors and I can't wait until this thread gets started up again !
