Me and my roomies usually find something on TV to watch while we're winding down and getting all the con-funk off of us. We've been lucky the last couple of cons because we've managed to find anime on TV. I agree with the great feeling of taking a costume off after a long day, it's the best feeling in the world. After all of that, SLEEP!

I don't watch television at home. So when I'm at a hotel and tired out from a long day in costume, there's nothing like terrible Discovery Channel documentaries.

Every one of them is perfect, seriously. Extra hotel pillows, a nice little adult beverage, and some over-narrated explosions are the perfect end to a busy day with too little rest or food.

My friends and I all usually have the most ridiculous costumes and are aching, hot and sore by the end of the day. All of us are well over 21 so our immediate answer to "Geez, I'm tired and should probably head to the hotel room" is immediately followed with a chorus of "DRINKING!!" Then we spend the rest of the night in our wigs and taking epic crossover pictures. Our stash is all put together and travels from Con to Con from my friend's basement.

take off my cosplay, and make up and get ready for bed, assuming that its in the evening. Chances are that I've probably been back up to the hotel room several times within the day either taking stuff back up(from the dealers room that I bought), using the bathroom(because I detest public bathrooms) and having a quick meal. But yea at the end 'a the day I just go to sleep xD Nothing special there because I'm not really a night owl.

Relax? That's not why I got to cons. I wake up early, stay out late, and crash for a handful of hours. Maaaaybe a friend and I will have a nightcap in front of the TV before passing out for the evening...errrr early morning.

Otherwise, if I'm awake I'll likely only be in the hotel to room to get into costume or reload on snacks or beer.

If I know I'm not going back out for the night, I usually shower (if I feel like I produced any sweat, haha) than read or chit-chat.

If I'm just burning a pinch of time and I'm worn out from walking around and spending my whole paycheck, then there's a lot of random chit-chatting, reading, or nerf gun wars. XD Oh my goodness, that was so much fun last year.

EDIT: After reading more posts in this thread, I feel so pathetic for actually spending any time in the room like me and my friends tend to do. This year it'll probably be much less though since I have a new camera and hope to get a lot of great clips this year.

-I charge up my camera and video camera. plus any other electronics.
-Play music.
-Play ball with friends or cards.
-EAAATTT!!! Cause it's not always good food at cons. (I go buy groceries near by in my costume usually XD)
-I soak my feet after everyday of the con especially if the costume has heels. >.< One of my friends saw me sitting in the sink with my feet (there was no tub) and was like "What are you doing?!" Lol. Then they did it after.
-I actually nap during the day at the cons in some random public area, in my cosplay, haha. It's because you get up so early and stay up so late and I'm not able to function if I don't nap.
-Stand in front of the fan if it's a summer con. :}D

I take a cold shower first. It feels AMAZING. After that, I usually sleep. If I'm not too exhausted, I may watch some tv with my roommates or just chat with them. This usually is done while I'm sorting through all of my stuff to ensure I know where everything is, including anything I need for my costume the next day.

Eating and sleeping! Those are the two main things.. but besides that, I spend time preparing whatever cosplay I'm wearing the next day.. get some comfy PJs on.. if there is Internet access at the hotel, I go on my laptop and derp around on there for a while till 11:30-12:00AM comes around. (No late night antics with my mom, unfortunately) And that's pretty much it.

The fun part is that something different happens every time so I never know what to expect.

Note to anybody ever in the history of anything... please don't have sex in the room when you think your friends are sleeping. They are always awake and they will HATE YOU FOR IT.

I wouldn't mind being asked to step out for an hour or two, it's quite understandable. Being woken up by angry sex noises and smells however, is not. Traumatized forever.

I would.

You don't get an hotel room with roomies if you plan to do the nasty in it. Step out for a moment? "Fuck you! Err, I know that's what you plan --- but I mean it in the hostile/insulting way."

Unless they're all in on it, but it's best to ask first.

EDIT: I'm assuming the people who think they're being coy about going to hotel rooms for intimacy with their other halves do so because they got the room entirely for themselves.

Yeah, we usually do not have roommates, but that's an important bit of etiquette: NEVER ASSUME YOUR ROOMMATES WILL NOT WAKE UP AND NOT BE TOO TERRIFIED TO GO BACK TO SLEEP.
