How do you make a decent PokeBall?
umm... hi...
![]() My brother is planning on doing a Lucas cosplay, but he doesn't know how to make a really awesome-looking, non-transparent plastic PokeBall. Any suggestions would be really awesome and very helpful. Thanks!!! ![]() |

When I was working on my Dawn cosplay, I went to Toys R Us to see if they had any pokeballs. I found these:
http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-Diamon...1377682&sr=8-2 There is a little nub at the bottom where a elastic string is attached, but you can hide it in pictures if you cover it with your fingers while holding it. Size in comparison to a DS game box: http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/4...comparison.jpg If you have the transparent ones, you can also paint the inside :3

Oh my god the Throw-Pokeballs PuyoDa linked are so awesome. I've become addicted to collecting one of each Pokeball type (and they've put out literally every kind of Pokeball at this point, I believe XDDD) and so far I have maybe 4 out of... 15?
I haven't made a Pokeball in years and now that I've started collecting these suckers, I probably never will XD The normal Pokeball versions are still in the $10-$12 range, but if you're looking for the other 'balls, they're gonna start getting expensive.

You can just find bouncy balls or any type of ball that is the right size and paint it, try looking around in toy sections and see what you find.

my sister made some out of styrofoam balls and covered them in paper mache then painted them, they turned out pretty good. you can sand down the paper mache after it dries for a smoother look.

Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJTCy...eature=related
This is probably the best Pokeball tutorial I've found online. I've wanted to mod the design to give it a more realistic affect (lights, hinges, button release, etc.) but this should work. Sorry if it's too late. |
