Luke fon Fabre
I went to the park the other day and we took some photos of my Luke fon Fabre cosplay.
My friend had never taken cosplay photo's before so I would like a critique on the photos. Any suggestions for editing? http://moi-dix-jasdero.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4xr2ue http://moi-dix-jasdero.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4xpbzm http://moi-dix-jasdero.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4xpauj

The first 2 look wonderful! (I would try and up the lighting a bit but not with contrast and saturation, more with selective colour to highlight certain parts, but only a tiny bit) costume is great by the way, I think the 3rd one would have been better as a full body shot, but it's still lovely. It's nice to see people experimenting with angles ^^
Maybe something like this? (although i'm not very good at editing, and there's not much difference) ![]() ![]() Last edited by DizzieDee : 04-28-2012 at 01:09 PM. Reason: Added photo's |

I agree with DizzieDee! You did a great job and it's nice to not be the only one who isn't afraid to experiment with angles, of course you'll run into people who think crazy experiment with angling doesn't do well, but art is different to each eye.
The third photo is great, but a full body shot would have been better! But you did a great job! Keep it up! |

Love the angles, have you ever tried to use a flash set to manual outside with manual settings on your camera? It looks really nice if you set it right plus you get beautiful catch lights in the eyes, which for me is a much needed element I always try and get.
