Help with making a feathered collar
Entire post here. But nevermind that, I'd just like to know what would be the best way to make the feathers around Yukino's neck. They're attached to the cloak, and I'm not sure if I should use real feathers, or something like fabric cut out like feathers. They look pretty simple in the front, but are pretty bulky in the back. Any help, suggestion, or example is greatly appreciated, thank you >.<

Get a couple of feather boas. Not the thin marabou ones, the fatter ones with the visibly distinct feathers. Use long, loose stitches with strong thread (like buttonhole thread or possibly thin fishing line) to tack the boa to the edge of the fabric. Double up the boa to use up extra length or add more puff. You didn't provide a shot of the back, but you said they're bulky back there--that's why I said get a couple so you can add more back there. You may just need one.

Gah, I posted in the wrong section >.< Sorry.
Anyhow, thanks for the tip, I'll go see if I can pick up a feathered boa or two - depending on how thick/bulky they are.
