Ok so it's well in advanced so I have time work out the kinks and I was hoping that some of you wonderful people would help me find the kinks and work them out. See how that worked? Anyways my fiancé and I found out about 2 months ago that I am pregnant which is great happy and news and we are super excited. Well we are part of a group that does skits at conventions. We try to represent our group at every convention regardless if everyone in the group actually performs. Well we've elected to represent our group at a convention in October which will make me about 7 months pregnant. We had planned a Yu-Gi-Oh skit, but that won't work with me being pregnant so we've changed tracks to a skit featuring just my fiancé and myself. We are going to do a little something between Trisha Elric and Hohenhime.
Our idea is that Trisha is just about due with their first child who we all know is Ed, but the happy parents haven't picked out a name yet for their soon to be bundle of joy.

Trisha is standing in the middle of the stage happily rubbing her large belly.
"Honey, can you come here please?"
She calls out to Hohenhime who is off stage.
Hohenhime joins Trisha on stage shortly after she called for him.
"What is it Trisha?"
A little concerned that something might be wrong.
Trisha smiles at him to assure him nothing is wrong.
"I was thinking since the baby is due soon shouldn't we pick out a name?"
She asked.
Hohenhime sighs a sigh of relief now knowing nothing is wrong with Trisha or the baby.
"I think you right...do you have something in mind?"
He avoids picking out the first name.
Trisha brings a finger to her lips and thinks for a moment her other hand resting on her belly. She claps her hands together.
"How about we name him, Liam?"
She offers rather happy with her first pick.
Hohenhime makes a less the pleased face and shakes his head.
"No, that name is no good. How about we name is Abraham?"
Trisha makes a face like she tasted something sour.
"That name is so old fashion Honey. I want something a little more trendy...how about Jason?"
Again Hohenhime does not approve of the offered name.
"I don't really think that name will work either."
He sighs and Trisha makes a pouty face.
"Well fine then you pick if you have such great names."
She sounds angry that Hohenhime didn't like the names she picked out.
Hohenhime thinks for a while and then shaking his head.
"I have a feeling this might come back to haunt me...how about Edward?"
He offers to his wife.
Trisha thinks on it for a moment before smiling.
"I like it Edward Elric."
She giggles a little before kissing Hohenhime on the cheek.
"It's a great name. Now I'm going to cook some dinner why don't you wash up."
She says happily while exiting the stage.
Hohenhime just watches her leave and shakes his head.
"Why do I get the feeling that this kid is going to hate me?"
He says to himself before following after Trisha.

The names can be changed around, but you get the jest of it.Wwe plan to pre-record the audio since it will be easier that way and we want to have an instrumental version of the song "Mother" playing in background just to give a little extra something to the scene.

It's a cute ans sentimental skit for sure!

Two suggestions:

You can make Hohenhime the typical male/dad and say that their son should be Hohenhime the Second, or Hohenhime Junior. And have Trisha just look at him with annoyance and say no or something like that.

Also the ending line. I've always thought hate was a strong word. I'd suggest re-writing the last sentence to something more ominous such as, "Why do I get this feeling of dread for my son?" or "Why do I get this troubling feeling for my son?"

Yeah the names need work. I just kind of picked them from thin air. I think the idea of Hohenhime Jr. or the Second. I think that is would get some laughs and yeah the last line does need a change. I just couldn't think of the right word for it, but your suggestions sound like they'd work perfectly.
