Burning calories and fat is difficult, but to be honest it is all in the mind.
First week of working out try to set limits. Such as jogging on a treadmill
for as long as you can.
The next day add 5 more minutes to your maximum time.
I tried this method myself and along with some other friends, and it works great!
I started running 70 minutes with no problem (Not suppose to run that long
because treadmills are bad for joints, but I didn't know that during that time).
As for eating schedules and plans do NOT get discouraged if you missed a meal
or two. Try to start shopping for yourself and taking better care of yourself. If you
live with your parents then tag along with them to the market and get some grub.

Also, be sure to drink more than a gallon of water a day.
Not only does it help speed up your metabolism, but it helps
cleanse your body.
Avoid diet sodas, sodas, cheese, fast food, juice, and bullshit diet plans (twinkie diets,
zero-carb diets, and shit)
I can go on forever, but anyways...just do your best and commit to what you do.
Before you know it you'll LOVE working out.
