Tutorial: Plastic Casting - Sieg Wahrheit

I've made this tutorial to inspire cosplayers who use materials such as papier-mâché, cardboard or polysteren. This process should be simple enough for even the newest cosplayer to use, and the result is better looking, stronger and more flexible than if it was made with the previously mentioned materials.

In this tutorial I illustrate how to make objects by using plastic and latex, like I've made the hand brace for my Sieg cosplay. This process can be used to make objects of different shape and size. This process also works well with foam rubber.

This is actually an off-site tutorial, which can be found at my website. <Link>

I've decided to post a thread, since the tutorial is new, and I'd be happy if people whould post what they think about it, and ideas on how to improve the way I've presented the tutorial.

- thanks for reading

I've never heard of using silicone spray over liquid latex. Interesting. I believe most people just use talcum powder to get rid of the sticky, and then dab off the excess with a damp towel.

One really spiffy effect is to dab alluminum powder onto the latex for the metallic effect. It's sold at hobby stores as an additive for resins and such.

I'll probably stay with my silicone spray method, but I'll try talcum powder to see if it works better.
However, the aluminium powder sounds like a realy good idea, and I'll differently try that out the next time I need something with a metallic effect.

Thanks
