Gf is terrible at motivating me to get up.
This morning went something like this: Gf: *rubbing my back* Usako, time to wake up. Me: *cranky mumbles* Gf: *stroking my hair* come on hunny, it's 10:30. I finally got up at 11. But only after she bribed me with tea.

My boyfriend does the same thing, but substitute tea for cocoa.
Also, I tried out my new sandals in a walk downtown today. I got about 2/3rds of the way through, then noticed that my right foot had two blisters on it. Ouch. Hopefully breaking them in a bit more will fix that problem.

She gets up early all week for work so on weekends she always gets up before i do. And gives me tea or coffee. Usually tea since I'm easy to feed tea (no sugar or milk. Just tea)
It's the rubbing my back that I think is funny - that will never motivate me to get up. I did make her lunch today, so it evens out. We saw Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus last night at the drive in Snow White would have been a good movie if it didn't have Kristen Stewart as Snow White. It was fun to mock anyway.

Back from work!
Man...I need clothes. And food. But not too much, since I'm going back to Texas to visit my family (before going to Vermont for grad school) in, like, a week. Ughhhhhhh. I also might need a new computer. The Mathematician says I've caused irreparable damage to it by using a cord that was not specifically made for it. Lame. If that has to happen, I'm thinking about getting a tiny one, like an Acer or something. Any of you have any recommendations?

I'd say avoid Macs, but I suppose that's more of a personal bias (if you're doing graphics related work, they're good, but IMO they're too expensive for what you get for your money, plus you can't upgrade without buying a new machine entirely).
Do you want a laptop you can use instead of a desktop, or just one you can carry around and what sort of things do you plan to use it for?

Another thing; if you're planning to get a netbook, be careful about what you'll want to do (they won't be capable of much more than a mobile phone with a bigger screen and better processor; no DVD/CD drive, no more than 250GB storage, less than half the RAM of most low end "normal" laptops and nowhere near enough power to run anything graphics based, like photoshop or video editing).

Whatever you do, for the love of god, do not get an acer.
I've had one and I can attest to how they are mercilessly shitty, break outright at the drop of a hat, and are almost always throwing up some warning of compromised programs/security/SOMETHING It's not worth it. Get a smaller laptop, and yes, I'm thirding Toshiba. |

I don't know what I'm gonna do on Tuesday nights now. The Alamo Drafhouse is closing down and that means no more anime night. The 19th is the Drafthouse's last day being open. If I cosplay, I'll be going as Gran Mamare. (Pictue in profile.)

Do I go get dinner, organize some of my room and take enough things out of my suitcase to move it upright to have room to start on my wig (since I have to start packing again Monday, no point putting it totally away), or do I finish the last bit of boot trim?.... ARGH. CAN'T DECIDE.
