Killzone 3 Helghast Capture Trooper
So for the past few months I've been working on this and finally finished it. I actually had help with the design from one of the concept artists for Killzone 3 (Andresj Skuja) which they provided me with game renders of the character. Most of the costume is from the Concept art, the Helmet is from the Game model. The costume was made mainly using EVA Foam, Foam core board, pepakura and urathane resin.

It would help if you posted some reference pictures. Otherwise, we wont be able to compare & make comments.

Ok, But I don't think that will do much.

Well so far it seems that the leg armor, the middle region, the arm pieces, and the chest region need to be a little bigger. There seems to be a few open spaces that you can go in and add a little more detail too like the first reference picture.

A little weathering would go a long way and make it much more believable instead of just having a super clean suit. Rub some dirt on it or dirty up the edges with some watered-down black/brown acrylic paint. Add some texture with sandpaper. Anything to get the crisp, clean feeling to go away.
You may want to do some tests on scraps before actually mauling your pieces to see how your materials react.

Thanks Huggin and Lala, I'll look into both of those. As for the upper leg armor way too much work went into that to redo it with the little amount of time I have left before D*C. The chest armor is about as big as I'll get it on the vest it's strapped to. But I see what you mean on either the shoulder or forearm pieces making them larger, I'll have to see what I can do.
Lala- I'll probably look as blackwashing the armor parts, really don't want to do too much with this being built mainly out of foam, but I'm willing to give anything a shot. |

I'm using that as a reference picture. The shoulders need to be bigger to emphasize your huge and imposing aura of the character. The cod piece you made is pretty lonely and some detailing pieces a hip armor is due, the thigh armor seems to wrap on the sides and the front. Yeah your construction seems really good, just you need work on proportioning to make your character larger. Shoulders and chest need to be bigger. Keep up the great work though, look forward to seeing more.
