You can pre-register for the convention now, and save money because it'll be more expensive at the door.

And you can also book your room. Go to laxmarriott.com and enter the group code ALAALAA to get the convention rate of $112/night.

Hello there... My friend and i are trying to figure out if ALA is possible for us this year (aka how mich money do we have to save up) . I just went looking for prices and noticed your thread. Two questions: is $112 rhe discounted room price? And do you know what the eqrly bird student rate would be? We didnt stay over last time and we bought our tickets later so we cant seem to remember the pricing. Thanks for any info!

$112 is the convention room rate, yes, before tax. Booking in the convention room block also gives you our cheaper parking rate.

Pre-registration right now is $35 for students. It'll be $60 at the door, so there's a considerable savings to be made by pre-registering.

I'm 95% sure I can make it to my first ALA next year... What's the cancellation policy for the rooms? I know most hotels don't charge any fees if cancelled within 48 hours or so of your check-in date, but I'm not sure if it's any different when using the ALA code. ^^ ; Thanks!

I would have to check, it's either 24 or 48 hours. Whatever their usual policy is, I don't believe we have a different deal.
