New Sailor Moon anime - Page 2

Toei Animation did the original but it would love to see Satelight be the production house this time around. (Heck they even have some of the original sailor moon animators working for them new. lol) but son long a both Toei Animation and Satelight don't do GC dance sequences (AKB0048....) I'd be happy.

Agree the Manga was much more mature (and violent in some ways) compared to the anime.

MCZ... we can hope it over processed in the studio like the Black Eyed Peas. Some groups just can't do live >_< which is sad considering that you should be able to do live performances.

BAH. The japanese versions of Sailor Moon (anime) were more mature than the English version. Example:the two episode battle with the Negaverse with all of the bibilical imagery - such as Sailor Mars being crucified on a pillar of ice... English version: One episode with very little violence.

UGH. Lets hope that it doesn't happen a second time around...

Oh I've seen the unedited version as well. It just that some of the more mature topics as well where tone down in the anime from the manga or maybe because the manga is not are large or episodic these themes seem more prevalent.

and don't get started about the stupid cousins thing that just freaked out AN fans when if first air... People came to me to clarify things. haha

I love both the dub and sub but of course, if they release this new anime in English, I do want the cheesy dialogue cut and better translations.

I went to one of the best costume site and saw these! I have not seen SM costume one the market since 1999! It's all because of the new anime for sure that they brought them out.

They're basically up for the 20 years anniversary, but as the anime was announced because of it, I guess you could say it's related.

The Tuxedo Mask one looks really decent! :3
And I'm thinking of getting one if it's a truly licensed costume. (NOT the Leg Avenue one though)

I'm beyond excited. I'm one of those people that grew up on Sailormoon. I hear rumors that it's going to be based on the Manga and that it's going to be short-ish, but I'm not sure. I just want for it to be done by the original animators and for the work to be as beautiful as it was around the time that Stars ended. Hand Painted Cels, please.

Yeah, I'm sort of hoping they don't go overboard on the CGI effects like most Magical Girl anime's are like.

Also, I hope the artwork is as soft (in terms of colour schemes) as the old version - I don't want it being like PreCure where the backgrounds are nicely drawn with soft colouring but then have blocky and sub-par quality drawings of the protagonists that don't co-ordinate well...

Well, the older PreCure Seasons had a nice style (Futari, Max Heart, Splash Star) and I wouldn't mind it for Sailor Moon, but the new sucky eye-cance-CGI-Bullshit... no thanks.

Yeah. Sailormoon wasn't subtle for it's time, but now, it is, and I hope they decide to keep that.

The art in SMS, SMS movie, SMSuperS series, SMSuperS movie and Stars is what I would most like to see. The colors were rich and vibrant, and it was detailed without being ridiculous. I'd like to see a lot closer to this - http://www.watchsailormoon.com/serie...20Moon%20S.jpg
