Sniper(TF2) cosplay help?

The next cosplay I'm trying to work on is the Sniper from Team Fortress 2. The only thing I'm having trouble with is getting the class symbol onto the shirt. Any ideas/suggestions?

My first thought was a custom iron-on transfer. Something like this:

You could probably some how make your own custom iron-on at home.

Another idea is to use an embroidery machine/ embroider it in by hand

That would work. By embroider do you mean just cut out the fabric and sew it on?

That's an applique (sp?), but would also work. If you want something fast and are good at painting, acrylic or fabric paint could work.

Embroidery would be the best for it i think but if you look for something fast and simple i suggest acrylic paint or even craft foam.

I think I'll end up going with acrylic paint. Thanks for all the help!

If you want to do a little less work, there are some people class patches on Etsy. I think they're like eight dollars or something. I sort of came up against the same problem with my Heavy cosplay.
