Watching that video, Egoraptor looked EXTREMELY uncomfortable when a STRANGER is stroking the back his head. If that were to happen to a girl, that would be grounds for molestation charges. At 4.0 seconds into the video, you can see that he attempted to SWAT her hands away even. As she continued to wrap her arm around him and stroke the back of his head, he clearly did not want anything to do with her and avoided eye contact. I'm glad he put on a smile and shrugged it, but if that were to happen to me I'd be scared and I'm grown man. Also didn't help matters when at 35 seconds ANOTHER fan came in. Sure he could of told her to F Off and storm off stage, but I have to say this man is a trooper! Now, sexual assault aside... Where the hell was security!? Its AX job to make their guests feel safe and they dropped the ball HARD on this and stepped on it. Its bad enough to let one crazed fan on stage, but to let a second. Unless this was all STAGED, this doesn't make it right. This wouldn't happen if it was LiSA, she would have brought her own guards and AX head of security would have to listen to her head of security. |

Word on the Intarwebz is that this was staged.

Even if it was staged, it doesn't make it necessarily right. The laws in this state (California) are rather easy to take advantage of when it comes to civil matters, and people yelling "security" if disturbed and this was staged, could take action themselves.

On things of a different note...
Did anyone go to the "Bad Jokes By the CEO" panel? |

I'm surprised the CEO had the balls to do that. Or that it didn't turn to a roast instead! I hope someone here did go and would like to give an account of what happened. |

There doesn't appear to be anyone that showed up, at least not on this forum.

That "Bad Jokes By The CEO" panel was actually listed in page 34 of the AX program guidebook, and scheduled at 5:00-5:30 pm on Day 2, June 30, 2012, Saturday, LP4 at the LACC 411. But I also did hear that Marc Perez mysteriously didn't show up. In fact, I heard he was barely there at AX.
I have to ask, why list it in the official AX Program Guide & take up valuable space & time, when you aren't even going to show up? (That time slot & space could have been given to another panel.) Also as CEO, shouldn't it have been his responsibility to be present at AX, and be there to least, to "direct the traffic" & help coordinate things? What good are you as the CEO of the SPJA, when you are barely there at AX? (This would like having the CEO of Coca Cola or Pepsi debut a new drink, and then mysteriously don't show up at the big premiere, without any real explanation.) Being a CEO means having responsibilities & duties. It comes with the job & the territory. If you can't be there at AX, then the SPJA should really start looking for a new CEO, who can at the very least, be present most of the time at AX. (Being present at a AX should be the very least of of a CEO's responsibilities.) A lot of other companies & organizations would have also fired a CEO for being a "No Show". On page 4 of the official AX program guide, Marc Perez even wrote the foreword. He concluded in his foreword, "To our devoted fans: we believe in you, thank you for believing in us." (Marc-If you want us fans to really "believe in you", then at least, show up at AX. And do your job as CEO. You aren't going to be able to lead the troops by your example by barely showing up at AX. If you are no longer capable in performing your duties as CEO, then step down, and let someone else who is capable take over. And try to remember this, that nice, cushy SPJA office that you have at Anaheim wasn't paid by you. It was paid for by the fans.) The funny thing is that, Marc Perez was able to show up in person at a Anime Conji meeting all the way in San Diego about a couple of months before at AX, but he was unable to show up most of the time at AX in LA itself? 1. A legitimate sell-out 2. A legitimate sell-out AFTER reducing the number of Premiere Badges 3. An error on the part of the company doing registration and the badge sale has been halted 4. Premiere Badges have been halted for some unknown reason. |

Anybody know the exact Attendance, or if AX will officially announce it any time soon? Would like to know if we gained or loss attendees.

Actual (real) attendance was probably in the 50K range though, because of ghosting. Ghosting took a dip in 2011 but was definitely back this year. |
