Just bring some friends along and split the costs. If you can get 4-6 people it's not that much money.

::sigh:: Outside of this site I don't know anyone that is into cosplay or interested in this event. So while your suggestion is good, it really isn't feasible for me.

Usually if you go to Google and type in "hotels near Detroit Marriott Hotel" they have a few. Here's two I found: http://www.expedia.com/Detroit-Hotel...nDateless=true

Both are under $80 per night, and about a 10 minute drive to the con (don't know how much by bus).

I'll be cosplaying as Tabby from .hack series and possibly Celty. Plan on going with a few people.

Be better if I knew that there were a lot of people also from the convention staying at these exterior hotels. Again thanks.

OH! And I just bought my take for the convention!! YES!!!!

Now I just need to assemble my Sub-Zero costume. :-p That has not been easy.

I'm coming from Canada. It is my birthday that weekend so I thought I'd take a trip with some friends to this convention. I've never been before but I have heard good things.

No problem. =) I was planning on staying at one of those on Thursday (wanted to get my badge early), but not sure, yet.
