I'm working on a Mistress costume! I lucked out and found the perfect hat AFTER screwing up a perfectly cute hat. Here's some tips so you can learn from my mistakes.

Wool hats do not do well in water. DO NOT take a colored wool hat and use color remover on it! It will come out uneven, feel like paper mache and smell like rotten eggs. It will also take several days in full sun to dry. You can't throw it in the dryer because wool shrinks with heat and moisture. There is also a chance you may BURN THE BRIM of the hat.

If anyone really, really wants to take their chances I have a white cloche hat and some pink dye I could sell you, but don't say I didn't warn you!

Currently working on this one as well. It's gonna be a toughy since i'm not very great with sewing. I might take the lazy way out and buy a pre-made one just because I don't enter in any contests or anything. Having some major trouble finding the glasses though.
