Detachable pole?

Okay so I'm in need of help again, I have used a pvc pipe in the past to make a prop however I need something that I can attach and de attach. Is there a way I can do this with a pvc pipe? I need to spray paint the pipe also. I also dont have much time left and a pvc pipe is the fastest thing I can get to.

Thanks!

They do make threaded fittings for pvc pipe. A few examples: here and here.

I'm not sure what the original pole looks like, but if you were to use these the connection would be visible, however you should be able to cover it with your hand in pictures. Some of them do have little ridges on the outside, but those can be easily sanded off. Since these are made of pvc they will take the paint just like the pole itself, just make sure you glue the fittings on or you may twist them too tight and they'll end up pulling off the pole instead of untwisting.

If you do use them and sand make sure to use a mask and goggles. : )

Edit: I should add that if you don't like the bulk that option may add you can use one of the fittings in the first example link I gave you, the bottom right one. The two pieces of the pole would just have to be pushed into each end of it. You could even glue it to one of them. While pvc usually fits snuggly in these connectors it doesn't always. If you do use that option keep in mind that you'll have to keep an eye on it to make sure it's not coming loose, and be careful if you plan to stage any fight scenes. That said, of the two options I've discussed it would be the quicker option.

Thank you for the suggestions! I may consider the pipe connectors even though they would be noticable. I just connot carry a huge pole around on my way. I was thinking perhaps it would be easier to cut it in half and use my hand to cover it for pictures and someday I can hot glue it together again? Maybe?

I have seen a pipe where someone actually didnt use the connectors and the pole could be taken out and screwed back in. I'm going to spray paint the pole.

Don't cut it in half cause it won't hot glue back.... Go with the connectors in that case and just hold it for photos, what is this for tho?!???
