J-Pop Summit Festival 2012 in San Francisco, Aug 25-26

I'm going for sure. It will be my first weekend living in San Francisco and I wouldn't mind going someplace that is more in my element. So can you cosplay and stuff? I don't know if that is very abnormal in san francisco being that I would need to take the Muni to get there. I'm so new to everything. I'm very excited!

My friends and I have never had any trouble wearing cosplay in Japan Town, and have even worn stuff like my Protoman costume on BART and MUNI. We wore our Legend of Korra gear in Japan Town last weekend after the Norcal Cosplay Summer gathering with no trouble, and even got a little positive attention. Of course, just like at a convention, the amount and type of attention varies depending on the costume you wear (I, for example, probably won't be wearing my pink Elvis Jigglypuff outside a convention or gathering anytime soon... ^^; ).
I'll probably end up going on Saturday, since the only reason I was considering Sunday was to see the Eva movies, and I already have them both on DVD. Looking forward to the Evangelion Pop-up Museum and the Evangelion Real Escape Game (and possibly riding up and down in elevators hoping to freak out randomly encountered Shinjis).
