Which wig would be better for Shion?

Hi!

Alright, so I found these two wigs which I really like (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Future-City-...ht_3863wt_1271 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Future-City-...ht_3069wt_1271) for Shion but I can't decide which would be better. I'm in love with the second but my friend is convinced that the first would be better. Which would you think?

Shion:

You get the picture
So what do you think?

I don't know those sellers and wouldn't buy from them. have you checked the review section for wigs here to find more reliable ones? often e-bay sites steal pics from cosplayers or other sites and are just going to rip you off or send you something that's junk.

I save up more and buy from reliable american sellers like arda wigs, the five wits, and epic cosplay.com. They ship in two weeks or under too and have face book pages and really good customer service if anything goes wrong.

if you spend less, you get less, as in less wig fiber in your wig. this can be a real problem with white wigs especially cause it means you'll see the wefts (lines where the wig hair is sewn together) and even see your hair thru it unless it's a better quality thicker wig. Even with a good thick wig, since the hair itself is almost see thru when its silver/white, you need to make sure you wear a skin coloured or white nylon wig cap underneath to help hide your own hair colour better.

good luck with your cosplay!! hope this was a bit of help! ^^

I bought my Shion wig from a seller like the first one you posted, and they ended up sending me a long wig, strangely. I was only able to save it with quite a lot of cutting and styling. I would suggest getting an American wig from the sellers novaraven1 posted, or there are more reliable foreign sellers like Ayanamisatoru, which I've bought from a few times with no problems.

Oh wow, thank you you two! I've heard that it's not a good idea to buy from China but I didn't really know that it was that serious, though I DID buy a costume from ecrafter once that I payed for a never received...

All of the reviews for those two ebay sellers are good. Would you still not recommend buying from them just because they're in China? And is the Cosplay.com wig store really that good? I've checked it out but it didn't really have much to choose from and was kind of expensive.

I'm obviously quite new at this so thank you for your help ^^'

And by the way, Rose; your Shion cosplay is really cute!

As mentioned, Use arda. They have a wig called the Magnum. Get it in the correct color and style it. That's the best one for this character.
http://arda-wigs.com/collections/mag...-of-pure-white
this is where you order it.

And this is the wig itself
http://arda-wigs.com/collections/magnum?page=3

Give it till the beginning of the month if you can, It's out of stock but they get stock in every month

OMG NEVER BUY FROM COSPLAY.COM SHOPPING!! They are too expensive for the kankelon wigs they are selling, and if anything goes wrong with your order you will never get it or your money back. Their customer service has been terrible for over a year now. People are only getting their money back by filing paypal claims.

There are some very good foreign sellers and e-bay sellers too, you just have to know which ones to go to. Try fantasy sheep on ebay, they also sell directly from their taobao (chinese e-bay store) There are many good sites on taobao, but you will usually have to wait much longer for shipping, around a month, and you often need to pay a broker to make the order for you and those fees can add up. If it's just one wig, go with an american seller cause it's esier. You won't save money shopping overseas unless you're buying a few at a time and splitting shipping costs and broker fees with people. it can get complicated.

Also, wigs from china fit smaller head sizes. You need to be aware of this with short wigs and ponytail styles. The american sellers have larger and adjustable wig caps. They cost more but are easier to get, faster to ship, and if something goes wrong or you have questions before you buy you can contact them easily without dealing with a language barrier.

it's really your choice. And good luck with your cosplay!

Actually they us Hiperlon fiber now but I just don't trust their CS anymore.

I recomend this seller as well a Arda.

Ayanamisatoru wig diplat head is really tiny BTW so the length will be a touch sorter then that on a average humans head.

If you have a larger then average head go with this one.

@ ani_BEE - Most of the cosplay.com shopping wigs are Newlook brand wigs made of elora fiber which is a type of coated kankelon. Only a few of their own signature brand wigs are heat resistant and it can be confusing to someone sorting thru them for the first time. I know their heat resistant wigs are nice wigs, if you can get them, but they are not any cheaper than much better places and I would NEVER take a chance ordering from them again with all their problems and no customer service.
Newlook brand wigs are also sold many other places like amphigory.com and wigsUSA and are usually the same price or cheaper, I never order them from cosplay.com shopping anymore. Newlook is awesome for short wigs and most styles have a very realistic full latex skintop. Their long wigs tangle but at about the same level as the fiber sold from arda wigs. The only place that sells long wigs that are almost tangle free is epiccosplay.com since their fiber is heat resistant with an even more slippery coating on it.
A heat resistant wig would not be needed at all for the style of hair Shion needs, a cheaper kankelon wig would be just fine. It just has to be a very thick wig because of the almost see thru silver/white colour. I would definitely be looking for a skintop wig for him if it were me. But I suspect this cosplayer is on a budget and just looking for something for a casual cosplay.
Very cheap kankelon and heat resistant wigs can be found at cosplayDNA on ebay as well as their online website cosplayanimewigs.com. These are budget wigs however and are definitely NOT thick at all. The style is not changable in any way since they are so thin. if you order a wig there and need to sweep the bangs to one side or try to put it up or do spikes or anything else you will be out of luck. The wig also fits small like most other chinese wigs. For a one time wear tho they're the best deal for your money and usually ship within two weeks.
