Faking a Big City Atmosphere

I live in a small, somewhat historical town (but not over the top colonial or anything) and I need some big city shots. I don't necessarily mean huge buildings (the tallest building we have within 40 minutes is 5 stories, and its the bank) and massive shots of a skyline, just I need to fake being in Tokyo or Ikebukuro, etc etc.

Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe under some of our transportation bridges, and well lit alleyways (day and night), and even crosswalks at night. Is there anything I'm missing? Any tips on photoshopping more lights and a more city-like feel?

Some random locations off the top of my head in addition to those you suggested.

1) Train or bus stations
2) Shopping mall (not the strip mall kind, but a more full mall)
3) Brick buildings with metal doors or glass windows
4) All glass storefront or residence
5) Modern-looking sculptures (in a park, for example)

I don't recommend photoshopping lights or a city background, unless the Photoshopper is really good at compositing, because you want the "fake" city background or "extra" lights to blend in with you and your surroundings. Lighting is especially tricky, because you have to take into account how the extra street lamps shine on the surrounding objects.

I foam core it and just make that campy set in the studio.
