....fifteen minutes ago some jackass threw up ALL OVER the steps of the apartment building and pulled the fire alarm. Queue us all having to rush outside at quarter to midnight, only to find out it's a false freaking alarm. And the fire department seemed to go total overkill and called in THREE trucks.

To be fair apartments have a lot of people in them and are usually near other buildings with more people in them.

Better safe than sorry I guess.

The last time there WAS a fire (some idiot lit a campfire under a stairwell, which fortunately got put out before it caused more than some soot stains and smoked up a hallway), just one got called in. False alarm? The whole station up the block.

Speaking of apartments, that is where I am now, working.

I had the door open in the office I was assigned to let air flow and some autistic guy asked me to shut it. It was obviously bothering him quite a bit since he was talking so fast I could barely understand him.
