Hugo- 5/5
Such an amazing movie, I see why the Academy loved it so much. Also it was nice to see Sasha Baron Cohen doing something more serious. Nice to know he can do more than comedy.

Superman vs. The Elite. The story was pretty good. The animation wasn't that great, but I liked the ending. 3/5

About a half hour into Snow White and The Huntsman.
...I think Kristen Stewart's an interesting person. Removed from Meyer's Twilight series and the internet's absolute, unforgivingfuckingloathingof her, I move that she's a decent actress. Not terribly good but no terribly bad; she's a B- performance chick and that's alright. Charlize Theron, however, I love. "And you let her slip, right through your little fingers. " I will concede that Snow White and The Huntsman had brilliant stylists for this film, particularly for Theron's role. Not to mention that the visuals as far as CGI are concerned are splendid. There was deliberate, meticulous care put into the design of this film. ...I wish I could the say the same for the script.

RUUUUUBBBBBBEEERR. Netflix instant que is my only true love, and the only thing that will never betray me. Netflix Instant Que will never, ever hurt you; it might occasionally disappoint you, but never will it make you cry. It will never tell a lie, or run around, and desert you. Mr. Ozio/Quintin Dupeix is so awesome. His music isn't awful, either, which is a plus when you 're inappropriately excited about a movie to find out the director hasn't made many other films, but instead just has a lot of music floating around the web under a psuedonym.

In the Name of the King 2. I didn't even know that they made a second one until I was browsing Netflixs the other day and noticed it. 2/5 because it was a bad as I expected it.

Much Ado About Nothing =D
The Toronto International Film Festival was going on last week and I had been meaning to try and inject some more "culture" into my bubble. Admittedly I have a pretty tough bubble so the fact that it's by Joss Whedon and Joss Wedon's cast allowed it to slip through. I was pleasantly surprised since I'm not really a Shakespeare person. But the comforting familiarity of say Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker certainly went a long way in me giving it a chance. Highly recommend to try and catch it when it comes out in wide release! (Didn't see it on it's opening opening but probably was a good thing since I heard that screening was partially ruined by over-enthusiastic fanboy/girls.) |

Rewatched Road to El Dorado a few weeks ago for chuckles. Still as utterly in love with it as I was as a child. It has a permanent place among my favorites.

Watched Kiki's Delivery Service recently. It was pretty good but still doesn't replace Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke as my favorite Ghibli films D:

Just saw Dredd 3d, and thought it was awesome. I know nothing of the comic though, and still enjoyed the film

Since I just read the Howl's Moving Castle novel for the first time, I had to go back and re-watch the movie!
