Expensive. But Bayo 2 and The Wonderful 101 at least put it on my radar. I'm way more interested in the WiiU than I was with the Wii at it's launch.

Its still too stop-gap for Nintendo.

1GB dedicated game RAM might seem like a lot, until the other consoles are tossing around 4 or 6, and are capable of outputting at 4k or 8k.

Also, betting money that Bayonetta 2 is timed exclusive. No way they'd cut out a 130 million user install base unless Nintendo gave them enough money to fund the next 4 Bayonetta games and publish them themselves.

2 Platinum games on this thing, one of them being the follow up to one of my favorite games this generation, makes the WiiU tempting, but 2 games aren't going to sell me a system anytime soon, ESPECIALLY given how exclusives work in Japan ($5 says Bayo 2 will end up as a Platinum published PSN/360 XBLA game before this generarion ends).

Aside from from those 2, there's literally nothing on that console I want, even have slight interest in. I got burnt by the Wii hard, so Nintendo has their work cut out for them if they want my $$$.

That's it though, 3 games which probably won't make the first quarter of the WiiU's american launch. I can wait.

That's nice and speedy, but terrible if Nintendo intends on selling any premium games via downloads.

Also, Kotaku is saying the premium and standard versions are color coded. So you want the black one? Tough, have to buy the $350 SKU.

Also, with most XBLA/PSN games clocking in at 1 GB or more these days, 32 GB is just not going to cut it, even with an extra SDHC card, which continues to alienate indy development. Hopefully Nintendo allows for USB storage solutions, but I don't see that happening.

I don't know. I'm still excited, but I won't pick one up at launch. I waited for a better game library/price drop with the 3DS and I wasn't disappointed...I'll do the same with Wii U.

Edit: Okay, Reggie just confirmed USB hard drives will be supported. Sweet.

Bayonetta 2 is the only reason I'd want one immediately, because the only other game I want is Dragon Quest X and there's no hint of an American release yet.

Will wait until it has at least one exclusive out that I'm interested in. But yeah, I'm surely getting one just for the Nintendo flagships at the very least.

Except Bayonetta didn't even break 2 million sales worldwide. (Still, 1.88 mil is pretty damn good for a new IP riding solely on the reputation of its creators and some good adverts here and there)

The thing is, the WiiU is already shaping out to be a decent console. NMH and MadWorld were decent, but they were kind of "that game you settle for since you're stuck with the system anyway." Bayonetta, in contrast, could not only be a 'staple' game in the WiiU's library, but even a system seller.

I think it'll be more like "Resistance" was for PS3. A go-to game at launch which the sequels will never match-up to in sales, not because of quality or ability, but because the fanbase just isn't there. It could, by all counts, sell amazingly well on Wiiu. Platinum will greenlight Bayonetta 3, and it won't sell nearly as well, simply due to the timeframe.

In fact, the negative reaction by so many Bayonetta fans more or less implies that it isn't a system seller (since they're not willing to buy the system to play it). Of course, people could go out and buy it anyway, only time will tell.

This is, of course, depending on whether Bayonetta 2 is actually good. For all we know it could end-up being a misstep. Not likely, but lets not go jumping to conclusions either.
