I didnt see a topic for this con yet. Its bit far away till it happens but this is the next con i'm going too.
Curious what other people are cosplaying!

Right now I thinking Labrys from Persona 4 Arena and Catherine from Catherine!

We want to book a hotel near the convention center but everything's soooooo expensive lol
If you have any advice about good hotels around, please tell me

(btw, we are from mexico, I hope this con will be our first USA con!

After how bad last year was, I'm really on the fence as to whether or not I'm going... If main events is in a tent again, forget it.

Curious what went wrong last year?

We're planning to attend Ikkicon this year, given that I got a hotel for $39/night that is super close to the Hilton (not that the con's $125 is a bad rate or anything). Haven't been to a con in Austin since Ushicon was still around!

I went last year, I was in Homestuck cosplay the whole time and had a lot of fun with the other Homestuck fans. I didnt really like the location, but I heard they are changing it this year. It did have some nice places to take pictures but all in all it was too small and the location was lame. On top of that I had to sleep in a car. -__- Being that its in the winter I think its a great con. I hate sweating in my costume (ew) and feeling uncomfortable and now I dont have to worry about that.
The only thing that would make last year bad would be how small the location was and how there wasnt many places to eat around. Besides that I dont see what was wrong with last year??

They have moved back the the Hilton, main events will be in a ballroom just like it was in previous years when they were at that venu.

I'm super excited they're moving back to the Hilton, I really like that venu and the fact it's downtown right in the center of everything.

The courtyard at the AT&T Conference Center was what made the con worth it last year. Being able to gather outside after dark was a blast. But I'm very glad they moved back to the Hilton.

I got my weekend ticket today! Am excited as I got three cosplays lined up. These are my first ones ever. Anyone know of the events yet?

Their website is weirdly devoid of information... kind of scary considering the event is only 3 months away. Do they always do things last minute? :P

What are your 3 costumes? I haven't really decided what to bring, but we'll probably be doing Final Fantasy 4 if everything goes good.

I'm guess maybe in October more info will be seen. I'm doing the ones in my siggy. Sora from KH2,Lenora from Pokemon,and Rangiku from bleach if I get her done in time.

I have plans for Ikkicon, I'll bring Trainer Red w/Pikachu, Poliwhirl and Bulbasaur plushies, SSJ Bardock, and dunno which to bring between Alucard, Light or Izaya, and also plan to bring my Shadow cosplay if finished in time(It's most likely I will).

I went a couple of years ago when it was in the hotel that it is in now, and had an awesome time. The main events room should be in an actual hall instead of a tent this year. Hope to see all you awesome people because I just bought my ticket, officially going.

Now have to plan an Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra meet up. Had an awesome turn out at AnimeFest in Dallas this year. Want to see if we can top it. If I can find someone who can sew a Bolin costume together, then I will actually be in cosplay.
