Hello I plan on Cosplaying Asuna Yuuki from Sword Art Online but before I do so I am going to have a short photoshoot as Rei Miyamoto from Highschool of The Dead. Although Rei's is described as brown hair and Asuna is a chestnut I was wondering If I could use one wig for both being that I won't be Rei for any events other than a photoshoot. I found a wig online that is already styled to Asuna but i thought I could undo the braid and style it a little big for Rei then put it back once I'm done.

Characters:
Asuna Yuuki
Rei Miyamoto

Wigs I'm looking at:
Wig One (Styled for Asuna)
Wig Two (Unstyled but not sure if the color will be correct)

It looks like it is possible..You would need to restyle them though each time. The colors are close enough that it doesn't seem like anyone should notice..But again the restyling..You will need to unbraid to do the second one and ad the antenna hair..I would say make the antennas with wire and make them easily removable. That should do it right there..

Thanks. I'm not going too crazy with styling for Rei as I will only be wearing her once. Asuna is the character I care more for since she will be my main cosplay this year, So do you believe I should go with Wig 1?

Actually neither. Both of those are too light. You need a more brown with it. Like a ash blonde or something..

It's the right length too..All you need to cut is the area where you would pull it back, and in fact, you can cut it AFTER you tie off the ponytail..So that's simple as crap lol

Also, you can use the excess you cut off to make the antennas . If you want help with that just let me know and I can give you a good run down..

I agree that both wigs you picked seem a little too blond for either character. I would personally look at Asuna wigs since she is the one you want to cosplay more as the color of her hair(the weird blond,orange, brown mix) could work for her and Rei easily.

This wig is also a very good color. Even though I posted a link myself, I have to agree here.

Also keep in mind that you want to only trim it after you braid the hair, the braided hair will be longer then the hair if you just pull it back and trimmed it.

If you trimmed it short Rei Miyamoto that same hair would be to short for Asuna afterwards if you try to put it into a braid. So I recommend timing the wig after your style for Asuna.
