I was wondering if this has picked up in the forums yet, and here it is! =D

I'm also considering Silica since she's adorable anyways. XD But I was actually wondering now -- what would be a good selection for fabric for her? Would want it to stand but not be too stiff.

Can you post links to this outfit? :3 I would also cosplay Asuna but can't stand that white outfit.

I watched the first episode of this the day after it came out and didn't really like it. Then last week when I was home sick I decided to give it another try....and finished the whole show in one day. I LOVE Silica's outfit (this one) and really want to cosplay her in the future. I like Lisbeth's as well but it's too similar to some other cosplays I have planned.

well unfortunately all of her outfits are white, except for the spoiler one for the manga.

that's some of the photos that I found. at some point i'm going to download eps 3 and 4 (and perhaps 5? i can't remember when she had this outfit) to get more screencaps, but this shows the basic idea.

My suggestion would be either good cotton or some type of bottomweight no satin or anything shiny

I would use bottomweight type fabric for Asuna too come to think of it I was just suggesting bottomweight to a guy that wants to cosplay kirito from another forum. The outfit making shouldn't be too hard the biggest problem I'll probably end up having is the prop making -.- Don't have the most experience in that area if you know what I mean

yup I know what you mean....gah i'm not looking forward to making the sword, but I have some ideas.

Bottom weight is a good fabric for this series period. I wouldn't use ANY type of satin or shiny fabric for ANY character in this series (except the lining - but that doesn't count)

Just saw episode 12 this morning. Things are sure gonna get serious next episode. I wonder if I should wait till the series is done to start working on my cosplay or start now /hmm Oh well I have till next June for animeNEXT so thats plenty of time.

The Next arc will be the Fairy Dance arc, which has a less threatening plot, but involves Kirito playing a game called ALO (ALfheim Online) to save his beloved Asuna

By the way, anyone going to NYAF this week? I'm going as Twin Sword Kirito. Not sure, but I may or may not be able to get my sister to cosplay as Yui, though she wants to cosplay as Nanako from Persona 4 at the moment.
