At least most of the Goddess Madoka project will be sewing-intensive. Unless you're making her bow/wings to go along with it? I find that sewing goes a lot faster than props. Because waiting for things to dry.

Maybe I'm going to try going to Fanime. o: Still not sure about what I'm doing. Partially because I don't know when my wedding is going to be... Probably the year after, at this rate. .-.

Making the bow and wings for sure. I'm kind of a perfectionist, y'know. xD And usually in that sort of situation I'm pretty good at bouncing between tasks; when making Pinkie I had to wait for fabric paint to dry at times so I would bounce between painting the lollipops and candy corn on the white fabric, making ruffles with the pink fabric, and working on other props, plus homework. It was kinda crazy. xD;

My friend who is probably doing Sayaka/Oktavia had this to say "YAY MADOKA. Also, holy cheese nips, I'll have to start working on it as soon as Aki is over. @.@;"
So we'll try and get it together and meet you at Sakura-Con 2013. xD;

Complex costumes are crazy in general. o: And then you throw in daily life and it gets so much crazier. Last year at Aki-Con, they had a coolest weapons contest, and one girl had entered Madoka's bow, and she'd gotten it to light up the rose at the end. It was neat, but at the time I had NO IDEA what it was even about.

I want to gooooo~ It sounds like it's a 4 day con, from their website? Friday through Monday?

Being a cosplayer and being in the community, I really feel like I'm the only one out of thousands of cosplayers who actually hate anime and will never cosplay from an anime series. So it's hard finding others with like minded interests. YEP.

Dang it. I found an ebay listing for a plain white, half face cat mask for $5. I really want to get it to cosplay Nano(the nico singer). All of her outfits are pretty simple plus the cosplays would be photoshoot only I think....hmmmmm. To make matters worse, the seller is selling a bunch of other masks in different shapes and now I am thinking about making the masks that the boss shadows have in p3...

It's kinda hard making a costume for someone who doesn't live with you :P Though my niece does live a couple blocks away from me but the way the weather is it feels like the walk from my place to hers seems like forever! O.O But a promise is a promise, I will make her Sailor Chibi Moon costume for her. Anything for my little girl!

So I have decided my planned cosplays for debut at either AWA '13 or AWA '14 will be...

Tiida from Shining Force Feather and Morte Asherah from World Destruction: Sekai Bokumetsu no Rokunin. I have a feeling Morte will be a whole lot more harder to construct than Tiida will be, especially considering the fact that I will need to make a large prop for Morte.

But I believe in myself and have confidence that I will get it done slowly but surely. =]

Post-con depression is hitting me horribly. ;-; Why do people appreciate my costumes backwards of what I expect? Anything I just pull out of my closet and decide to do last minute, cool! I get plenty of pictures of it. Anything I work hard on and expect to get fairly good attention for? Nothing. At all.
This is seriously bumming me out, guys. To the point of not even thinking my Len looks all that great. This isn't fuuuun.

Noooo, don't think like that! You make an adorable Len! It's just a situation of not getting enough pictures due to other factors. I've made cosplays in the past that did not get much attention even though I thought they would(like Mozaik Role Gumi). And yes, I will give you a mask. XD

I also realized that Altus will probably have their Atlus-o-weenie thing again this year. Probably should get those arm warmers made so I can get pictures of Marie this weekend and then enter her when submissions open.

Oh gosh not to mention other con commitments. I have AA to worry about for Sakura Con, and on top of that I sorta got recruited to do artwork for a new brony convention starting up probably this winter so I'll probably be selling there as well if I can figure out the means to go. Currently though I have to work on making their mascots which really isn't an easy task. @A@; This can only go well.

Sounds hella awesome though, I think I met that cosplayer at Sakura Con since that bow sounds really familiar.

Yeah, Friday through Monday although my group typically goes Thursday too. Their "Day Zero" is pretty awesome cause they have a Swap Meet and stuff; plus it's just really nice to get the badge early.
