Diet and exercise help.

So I'm 100lbs and 5"1 but I still have quite a 'pudgy'? stomach. Anyway, I've changed my diet to stuff like brown rice, cutting out junk or processed food and runs 30 minutes at least five times a week. Unfortunately, all I've been feeling is bloated and quite emotionally down this past week. Any advice on whether I should be doing other types of dieting and exercises? It would be very helpful!

Have you been eating protein? It's essential for muscle development. Too much carbs can make you bloated, or maybe you're approaching you're period (assuming you have the right equipment).

Yes I usually eat fish or chicken as my protein and I tend to restrict myself as to how much carbs I eat. I have already passed my period. But it might be post symptoms but I'm not sure.

I know a lot of people who become emotionally downed while moderating their food intake (me being one of them >_>). It just comes with the territory for some, though a more uncommon reason could be your body is missing something (fats, vitamins, etc.) if your food choices are limited. Also, I'd suggest writing down your food/calories for a few days, then reviewing.

Thank you. I'll try that for a few days and see how it goes.

Even things like a lack of iron (which you lose a lot of during your period) can have effects on you.

Hmm...no you aren't doing anything wrong.
Seems to me you are on the right path.
You should try to gain a bit of muscle to tone out your body.
You don't have to but, it would show off more detail on your curves. :P

I'm planning on toning after I don't feel so emotionally distraught because I know for a fact that when I'm like this my body kind of rejects a lot of stuff. But thank you. I'm glad I know I'm doing the right things.

I will suggest lifting weights. Since you're short you'll probably be very good at it...

WEIGHTS. WEIGHTS ARE THE BANE OF MY EXISTANCE. Kidding. I do some weights with these four pound dumbells my brother gave to me, but very rarely do them. Like once a month or so.
