Crossplay at Katsu

Hello. My wife and I are thinking about attending Katsu Con next year. We live on the west coast and we have wide variety of cosplays, including crossplay. I have a few Male to Female crossplays, and I've gotten a pretty good and open minded responses from people at cons in Canada, Washington, Idaho, California and Colorado.

I was just wondering, though I may be a little paranoid, if people at cons on the east coast, such as Katsucon, will be as open minded about a man cosplaying female characters: skirts, makeup, curves and all?

Of course the only really way to find out is to just go there and do it...

I have two male friends who only crossplay. They have never had a problem at all except way outside the con area [normies]. I'd like to say we're all really open minded and accepting. Most females, myself included, crossplay, so there shouldn't be a double standard. If anyone did give you any shit, I'd think more people would come to your aid then turn on you. Most of the time, if there is a problem [again, normies], it's homophobic men.

Thanks for the insight. I just wanted to check, though I was sure in this day and age there wouldn't be many problems.

I myself moved out to the DC area from Cali last year. I have been to many events in the VA DC area and have never heard of or saw anyone being given a harde time about crossplay. So please come out and do what you want to do. We look forward to seeing you here!!
