My wrists and ankles have been stiff and achey all week. I'm hoping when the weather gets better it will go away. And I'm cashier tomorrow and Wednesday. At least Sunday I'm on phones.

At least I get cuddles tomorrow

I'm a little late to the party but on the topic of ballet....
I love ballet and I'm very glad that I now go to the best ballet school in the area. But since I essentially started late and didn't get as much as I should have at all the competition schools I've been to, I was really out of place when I first started. All these girls are far more serious about ballet than me and a lot spend twice as much time at the studio as I do. But I like it nonetheless because once I had gotten past the initial "holy crap how the hell do I do all of this?!" I was able to focus more on my technique, getting combinations and really learning and started to improve. And truthfully, if I had it any other way, I wouldn't be where I am now (I mean, I'm still not that great but I'm a hell of a lot better than I was a year ago). I guess I'm just a competitive and/or jealous person, and I really wanted to be one of those people always getting compliments or little corrections and sometimes asked to demonstrate.

I had a little moment in my unset class earlier where I just told myself that I WILL try as hard as I can and I did that much better, in one of the classes I usually did the worst in.

Yeah, ballet is a huge commitment in terms of time and effort and is painful, but it's so rewarding to me when I am finally able to do things the right way. It feels good, and I feel beautiful, as cheesy as that sounds.

It's not cheesy at all. That's how I felt when was in ballet. Even when I did gymnastics.

You're lucky Sakura, I miss dance fiercely and I hate that I have no outlet for it any longer. It just... fucking sucks. I'm riding now but still I'm LEARNING and I can't just cut loose and prod the horse in to a canter and be confident about it like my pirouettes and jetes.

I also miss acting =/

I'm thinking that exact same thing lately!

I'm also working on my first non-anime cosplay ever...I'm wearing it on Halloween so we'll see if the fact that it's not Japanese makes it anymore recognizable...

"When he is asked to clarify what did happen that night, the student simply responded, "It's a long story."

Prior to the press conference, Broughton wrote a rambling letter denying the butt chugging allegations. In the letter, obtained by WBIR, the 20-year-old college student says “I am a Christian who would never desecrate my body in that manner. To do so would be against God's law.” He also parallels his story to "The Wizard of Oz.""[/I]

I LIVE FOR STORIES LIKE THIS!!! ALSO IN WHAT OF THE WIZARD OF OZ DOES DOROTHY GIVE HERSELF A WINE ENEMA. I MUST HAVE MISSED THAT PART OF THE STORY GROWING UP.

I live for "dudes emptying wine bottles in their rectum...who then lie about it....and then compare their lives to "The Wizard of Oz!"

Unrelated to butt-chugging (sorta) NYCC in less than a week, dinner/drinks on Thursday YES/YES?

EDIT: FROM BLOGGER MATT UFFORD: "A doctor I know got forwarded the buttchugging article, and he wrote: Reminds me of a patient who frequently went to an ER with bad urinary tract infections. He had been emptying his bladder, then using a catheter to fill his bladder with wine, and was performing as a ‘human wine dispenser’ at a bar. Nice."

That would work only if it's late evening --- barring any flight delays, I'm touching down at La Guardia at 19H30 and will head up to checkin at the hotel then. I'd only be available afterwards on thursday. Otherwise it could be friday eve.

That's just disgusting.

Words cannot express how unhappy I am with my friend's choice of hotel for NYCC. Just found out last night and spent the next hour terrifying myself by reading reviews. Feels like my trip has already been ruined, and I'm not even leaving home for another 6 days.
