Making Spandex/Mystique Body suits
I am currently in the process of making 2 Body suits. I am using a red mystique and a Spendex-esque material for them.
I am unsure of how much fabric I might need. I was thinking about 3 metres, but might get 4 just in case. I am making the body suits for Samara from Mass Effect, and Jeanne from Bayonetta. Ideas on possible fabrics aside from the ones I'm currently planning on using? And is 4 metres enough for both? Ideas? Thanks!

Personally, I'd would want to avoid spandex for both characters.
Jeanne's: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__...nne0510765.jpg It's more of a pleather. You can tell that it has more weight to it then spandex, with the poof at the ankle. Spandex is meant to hug the body, and there's enough room with Jeanne's outfit that you don't need it to be that close. Samara: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...80-d4hhqi1.jpg I'm guessing on the second one, but if that's the idea, I'd lean more towards pleather or a mixture of spandex for the black pieces and pleather or stretch vinyl for the redish fabric. Without knowing your body type and size, we have no point of reference to say yes or no as to how much fabric you need.

Personally I think Samara suits neoprene or neoprin (neoprene without the rubber layer in the middle).
I agree with Tifaia about Jeanne not being spandex either. I'd suggest a two- or four-way stretch vinyl. Have a look at http://spandexworld.com/ |

Ahh yeah I was also thinking about the vinyl, I wasn't exactly sure how to word the forum title and I figured that would be the best idea for it. Im fairly small in terms of size, I'm 5'9 but skinny.
