Underbust/Corset Help

Hello knowledgeable people, I am here today to request your assistance in constructing a piece for my costume.

I need an idea on how to make a under bust like garment, or find the right kind so I can modify it.
Preferably I would like to modify one to look how I need.

I would then attach a skirt to it. The skirt isn't so important though right now. Focusing on the torso.

The idea is a leather like in appearance material, so it will match my boots.

Anyways, here is the dress I would like to make. Any ideas on how to construct it would be greatly appreciated!

Also if anyone knows what those puffy sleeve shirts are called/ where I can find a nice one, please tell me. :3

Here is a turn around of the actual model http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJAmYQVCdRk

Orochimaru thats a pretty cool site!!

I would go with a underbust and if its not the right color then you can always use a overlay of material to match your boots. You can even use rub and buff on the material depending on what type it is.

As for the shirt check out the patterns books at your local fabric store. I have one of those shirts that someone made from a pattern out of a book.

There are patterns nearly identical to this costume, the only difference is the straps in back at the top of the shoulders. It's one Simplicity pattern set with about six different cutesy character set ups (sexy pirate, sexy nurse, sexy witch, etc.)

I do not recommend attaching the skirt to your corset, it's much easier to wear & dress/ undress if they are separate pieces.
