Creating ponytail for wig?
Hey there' ya'll! I'm cosplaying as Claire Redfield from the Resident Evil series, and although it's quite a simple cosplay with just a few add ons, there's one thing I lack, which is her hair. I was going to buy an auburn red wig(which by the way, if you could point me into the direction of a cheap one, that's be super) and with rigorous searching I realized it's darn near impossible to find the right wig in a ponytail. So what I'm asking today is, how is it you make a straight wig have a high ponytail??

To answer your question, with great difficulty. Wigs are not designed to have their style changed, so you will have the worry of holes showing in the wefts with almost every wig. Your best bet is to get a medium length wig that is thick, like Amphigory's Femme Fatal, but even then you have to be super delicate with it to avoid reducing the cap size and making the ponytail look stressed. It's definitely easier to buy one that's pre styled.
