How to make and ATTIFET??

Does anyone out there know the basic idea of how to make an attifet renaissance hat?? Im making one for a 3D class, and I cant seem to get it right... I'd appreciate any suggestions!!

It might help to post an image of what you're looking for help for; I had to google "attifet" just to find out what you were talking about. To that end, I would suggest try searching google?

Lynn McMasters has a wonderful pattern on her website, Lynnmcmasters.com . I would start with a wire-edge shaped buckram base shaped roughly like a heart. You can also do it with just millinery wire and chiffon - I've seen some lovely sheer ones but not sure on accuracy of those.
