Group cosplay group vote was cast last week, and its a confirmed for Avatar rather then Pokemon. (We had originally planned to make a puppet for both... But things didn't work out...)

I'm gonna have to go to the Photoshoot though and take some pictures!

Oh hey I made wings for my Zekrom out of foamcore board, wire and interfacing. Basically, I just cut out a large "V" shape out of interfacing, and sewed on several rows of wire to make everything stiff and sturdy. I then cut four pieces out of foamcore board for the wings (two for each wing), covered each piece in cloth (to face towards the outside), and attached the wing shapes to the wire frame/interfacing with hot glue. I also used a backpack-like harness to keep the wings in place.

You can look at this tutorial - I consulted it to make my Zekrom wings. It'll be a lot clearer:

I'll either be doing Zekrom again or a Hilda/Touko crossplay (if I can pull it off), so watch for me! :3

EDIT: It looks like two of my friends are being Hilda and another character (probably Hilbert), so I'm most likely to wear Zekrom (No crossplay for me orz)

Gah, I've been hit with Pokémon Nostalgia. It's super effective! XD I've been playing Red & Yellow lately, which got me totally inspired to make a cosplay of Trainer Red. I have a sneaky project in the works, I also want to make a prop of Pikachu too if time allows~ Most likely wearing it on Friday.

I'm excited to see everyone's costumes, and creative gijinka ideas~

Okay, so after a prolonged absense, the list has been updated!
Looking forward to seeing everyone's costumes! I still haven't decided on what to make yet, we keep changing our minds.

So, when does everyone want this shoot? We've been at TCC4 the past few years, I think its a good location just because its open and there's a lot of room for cosplayers/photographers without everyone being smooshed together in a small area, and it always seem to be less people in the background. Opinion?
And what about Saturday at 10? Just cause cosplay chess/autographs/panels/etc. usually don't start that early. I figured I'd just put it out there as an option. Or have the shoot on multiple days?

i think TCC 4 is going because it was a nice place and i think good for everyone. I was at the photoshoot last year and i really liked the place and it had a good back round that we could use to our advantage with all the pokemon. I'd say saturday at 10 would be best...well for me since i might be running a panel that day but hopefully it will be at a later time and if its early it gives me a chance to get changed to my second cosplay later in the day
