okay, I'm planning to cosplay as an OC Hetalia Character, since there is no official character representing Mexico yet. Mexico has been mentioned like in the part where Alfred(USA) was mentioning something about a meeting and whether he should wear a tie. And in a page in the manga/web comic where Canada's polar bear was participating on a poll that Mexico made. And there are many drawings and personality depicted for OC Mexico. I'm going to cosplay female Mexico. I'm thinking of cosplaying in the gakuen/school uniform since the patch might be easier to recognize which series I'm doing. And I should probably hold a small flag too. But the wig is harder. Should I use a wig that is long, medium, short? What hair color? I imagine the hair black, or dark brown, and wavy. The OC Fem!Mexico drawings mostly depict her in long hair that is somewhat wavy. Maybe I should add an accessory to the hair too? Unless it doesn't really matter that much. Any advice/opinions would be helpful! XD Thanks for reading! |

I feel like, since it's an OC, you can go wild and do whatever you'd like!
If I were making it I'd try to pick a hair accessory that had some sort of significance, like Norway's Nordic Cross hair thingy, but since I'm not super-familiar with the culture of Mexico I don't know what that might be. ^^; Anyways, since you don't have a set design, you've got totally free reign. Go with what you feel looks best for the character and/or most flattering on you, and if anyone gives you any flack they're just being stupid. |

I think that's a fan made cover. Since it's not mentioned in the official list? Thanks anyway ^-^ What was the website you mentioned at lunch again? |

I think a simple flag pin would be enough to clarify what you're supposed to represent. That's what I intend to do for my Germany cosplay. Remember, you don't have to advertise it to the Universe, you just need fellow Hetalia fans to catch on.
Try looking up "China Poblana" on wikipedia. It's like the traditional style of dress for Mexico, often used in Mexican folk dances. |
