Got most of the fabric I need for my surprise cosplay yesterday, and today my order of circle lenses arrived! Yay!

Oh crap! My roommate for Ahn!Con had her Facebook deleted and that was my only way of communicating with her. I do have the room reserved and I'll wait a few days to see if she gets her account back or creates a new one.

Yesterday was more productive than I had planned it to be. I went to Jo-Ann's with the sole intention of getting two sheets of foam board for Wolfwood's confessional. I noticed they had t-shirts on sale, but they didn't have any I needed. Then I found the sweatshirts. I found the red sweatshirts. I gave in and now Antisocial Climbers!Jane Lane is done. Now I just have to figure out when to wear her. Maybe DragonCon 2014...

YAY!!! Just found a decently priced Kuroko cosplay and paid for it!!! XD I wish it could just get here now, too bad shipping isn't that simple. :P I can't wait until it gets here!

Hmm, unexpectedly productive day today! Made my bow for Ministrife!Porrim and replaced the black buttons on my skirt for her for golden ones. Now I just need to find green stockings and finish the belt buckle.
And wow, Hussie, you just introduced an outfit for a character I love I can make mostly with stuff I alredy have! First basic!-and Ministrife!Porrim, and now Roxy's new outfith from the ACT 6 ACT 4 flash animation. Love and must make, but at the same time...gah my money! ;;>_<;;

So I was doing my sewing work at my lab in the costume shop at my university. The costume technician then says to me, "Hey, we're having a clothes sale tomorrow, everything's in the girl's dressing room. Go in and see if you can find something that inspires you. If you do, take it, it's yours." So I went and looked around, not thinking I'd find anything because I am of small stature and most of our actors... well, are not.
I ended up finding a blue plaid jumper that, if you can ignore the plaid, will work so well for a Haru (the Cat Returns) cosplay! A few loose stitches on it, but it fits and it's nothing I can't fix. And it was free. Awwwesoooome~

I'm beginning to think contacts are just outside the realm of possibility for me. Well, colored ones, at least. Even just regular ones will be very expensive and that's just so I can see without my glasses. Crap baskets.

So I'm on the planning committee for the holiday party, and the theme is Candyland. The HR Generalist is ordering a cape and crown for me to embellish, and we're going to dress the General Manager up as King Kandy.
And because I can't pass up the opportunity, I'm making Queen Frostine's dress, crown, and staff~ Just finished the mockup for the dress today. Took 5 hours to get the fit and shape right. Had to take in about 5 inches from the pattern; I thought I'd put in two extra panels in the bodice, but it was really just that big. D:

Why are you not here yet wig? T_T I was so looking forward to running around while wearing Morgiana. Stupid college and not doing this mail. *grumbles* Also with everyone on my fb posting cosplay stuff, I really want to do something for cosplay but I have to wait until next week. >_< Also need to go to Michaels to buy some paints for various things as well as a dowel for Saber's short sword thing.
