Hello everyone.

I recently watched the 'bacterial contamination' clip from hatsune miku and I fell in love with mikus look in that clip. So I would like to cosplay this version of her in the near future.

I have a vague idea on how to make this costume, the only problem is that I don't really know how to make the arms.

As you can see her arms are like huge, cyborg grasshoper legs. I don't have any experience with making these kind of limbs, so I was wondering if anyone here has any idea how I could make them?

hmm....Maybe use paper mache? It might be light enough....

I am actually working on this over the summer, but I am doing the school girl version and doing one giant claw, as if she is in the process of becoming contaminated. I have been researching it for a while, I had someone suggest a method that involves insulation foam and fiberglass resin, but I am thinking of other ways to still make it large but light enough to wear over my arm (I plan to use a harness to take some of the weight off). I also REALLY want to make the claw pieces move. Once I get started on it I can let you know how it goes!
