Yeah, it seems like there are definitely at least two cloaks. One is a red-on-red textured velvet with a floral or damask pattern that appeared in Red-Handed and Child of the Moon.The other is a solid red (maybe wool) with a loose, felted-type trim - it's appeared in a few flashback scenes, like in Heart of Darkness... one where Red tells Charming to leave because she'll hold off the men that found them... she takes it off to transform.

Thank you for the grommet tips, everyone. I had no idea there was so much more to them outside of fabricland. (I still love you Fabricland...and your sales) I think the next time I need to use some, I am going to invest in some #0's, from one of these corset making companies.

Also on OUAT topic: Planning on starting my Red cloak soon. I'll see if I can get over to my aunt's friend place with the giant cutting table in a few weeks. Then...it's just nice, straight stitching...

I use the little eyelet pliers, but they still make me feel like I'm getting carpel tunnel most of the time! At least they're quieter than hammering. I used to feel like a jackass when I had to use a hammer and made so much noise.

Anyway, since the costume I'm doing is specifically from "The Crocodile" I am now torn on what kind of material to get for the cloak! We're doing a group at Katsucon and there's a big fake pirate ship I wanna shoot on and everything, so I wanna be legit. What do you guys think it looks like? And what COLOR, because it could just be dirty?

I agree that it could be wool. Though the closer one looks almost like it's got a suede or velvet texture to it...

...The first one looks like it has a definate burgundy undertone, and the second it a very earthy brown, whaaa? and I agree with Medhia, the first one could pass for wool, but the second does look suede like... or even the trimming on it looks almost suede like, rather than leather, while the material looks.... woven? Not like rough canvas but there's some crinkles on top of it that reminds me of the creases in demin like fabrics. That might just be my computer though....

It doesn't look like we will get to see the mermaid or the octopus (Ariel and Ursula)... But I was certain of who the Queen of Hearts was.

I liked the teaser scenes for the second half of the year. Love Regina's reaction in it.... also loved Regina's dresses there was 2 new ones this episode!

Yes there was SO MUCH detail in it. O_O I feel the need to down load the episodes to take screen capture.

Also they not insane textile pattern ti is it's all beading and appliques. Most of her dresses also has bell sleeves at the elbow. If I can't get the Fabric i want for Regina, I'll tack Cora's instead as she in the dress for a longer period of time/episodes.

That blue dress was amazing. *_* So was the blue dress that Regina wore with that necklace thing in the back of it. I was staring at the necklace the whole time it was on screen to figure out how it works. XD

And I also could tell right away who the Queen of Hearts was. Although...somehow my brain is telling that when she appeared before, she had a bigger head and the Queen was supposed to be someone else...

Agreed with the necklace collar Regina had. That was a most excellent creation.... and props to her for not fouling up that fantail train she had to wear. I have a skirt with a different style but still everpresent train and when I didn't have it tacked up I got it caught on everything.

Fingers crossed for more excellent outfits for the rest of the cast in the next part of the series. (Still need to see the promo) And way to rock the swashbuckling coat there Killian, during your naughty sword fight. Now I want an awesomely flaired coat to feel all impressive in.

Ah, the white battle jacket with the back skirt panels. Quote the designer; it's made of quilted cotton and studded with Swarovski crystals. And based on an Alexander McQueem jacket from the runsways of expensive fashionland. And I cannot find the link to the video where he talks about it, pooh. There was some good shots of it in it. It's from Entertainment Weekly at any rate.

Either way, I'm not familiar with jacket patterns but if you can find something that the top part of the pattern works, peplums are all the rage right now so you might be able to frankenstein something together from that.
