I guess I'll introduce myself.

My name's Monique, but everyone I know calls me Mo, MoMo-Chan, or just MoMo.

I have a three year old and I am going to school full time, but in my spare time, I'm an avid gamer. So much so that I've decided to cosplay (for the first time) one of my favorite characters: Mad Moxxi from Borderlands/2.

I'm a little confused as to how to go about it, but I have time (I'm giving myself until Halloween next year) and I have help! (The ironic thing is that my boyfriend knows how to sew, whereas I have no idea. XD )

Any tips you can give or information you can give would be great! I've already gotten reference pictures and some patterns that we can shop for, have been looking for tutorials for her top hat and bullhorn (which I've only found things to buy it, not to make it). I want to make it as accurate as possible!

EDIT: I also forgot to mention that a big challenge for me will be the makeup, as I have dark skin and am not really sure where to buy the proper equipment yet.

Welcome to the site! If you haven't already you can make a thread in the general construction board and the make-up one. Hope you are able to get all the help within the site, we're a friendly bunch so chances are you will get many suggestions on how to go about things.
