Tardis help?

So for my Birthday, I'm going to spend the entire month of January making my portable Tardis. (since I have the whole month off from school)
I want it to be life size and light weight so I was planning on making it out of pipes and fabric.

What kind of Fabric should I use? Preferably one that won't rip and is easy to spray paint for the Police Box sign and words.
I also need a lighter fabric for the 'windows' and what should I use for them? I want the top part to be able to flash if I press a button and make the Tardis sound. Ideas?

Here's sort of a weird suggestion. For the walls and stuff, if you wanted to use fabric, you could try a muslin or canvas, and get spray fabric dye and then hand paint.

Since you'll want something pretty sturdy, and that won't look cheap/flimsy/see through, look into canvas, twill, or other bottomweight fabrics, similar to denim.

I think duck cloth would be perfect. It's quite sturdy, and comes in a variety of colors.
