Question Making Sora's Halloween wings?

I basically know how I want to make my wings, but my question is HOW to attach them. I've looked at other peoples' cosplays, and most of them attached them to the jacket in some sort of fashion, just behind the jacket's cape. I plan to use cable wire, so how do I do this? I'm out of ideas.

I've already searched the forums for help, and I didn't find anything helpful...

Thank you in advance.

What exactly are you doing? Like I know what the outfit looks like and all, but are you making them out of fabric? Like I know most people make them out of fabric like black cotton and cut the shape out, You added whire whitch is way better and makes it stiffer but if you used fabric around it you could just sew them on right?

Yes, essentially, that is what I wanted to do; make a wire frame of the wings, add some padding, and then sew and hot glue fabric to the whole thing. My big question was HOW to get the wings stabilized onto my body. Just recently, someone advised me to make a harness, but I would need to see pictures in order to do that...

Well a harness could work, but really that's not something you will need because these will be so light. All you have to do is the parts that would be connected to the coat, just sew it on. There's really nothing complicated that needs a picture..I don't even know how I would make a picture to show you if needed..

Do you really think that just sewing the wings onto the jacket will be enough? I'm just not sure. I would think that the wings would kinda "droop" backwards if they were sewn on.

If I understand how you built the wings as they are on a wire like skeleton, then you should be able to tie on some black elastic bands to the wire and wear it like a backpack.

If you make the loops small, it should be pretty tight when you put it on. If it's black, it should disguise itself rather nicely with the rest of your costume.

I hope this helped.
