I'm doing Daenery's Dothraki suit, and I don't know where to start with the top. I've aready cut the basic form in fabric, but:
a) How I make it fit me?
b) What material I should use for the "rope" that ties the top?
c) Is there any secret about how to make it perfect? (I mean more accurate)

1) It isn't a terribly fitted top to begin with, it just kinda... covers.
2) the ties around her neck are made from the same material as the top, they are long strips braided together.
3) this question is a bit too vague. Once you begin and show us progress photos, then you can ask this and we can give specific suggestions to help you along, but until then...

I'm no help here, but glad to see another Game of thrones fan. I want to cosplay her someday too.

Saw this costume in person, and Penlowe pretty much has it right. The straps are just strips of the canvas/sackcloth braided together, and it's not a very fitted looking top. It's meant to look like it's made from horsehair/horsehide and straw or grass, as those would probably be the primary materials the Dothraki used. They ride horses, eat horses, and obviously would also wear horses.

Penlowe: I've just uploaded a photo, you can see it on my gallery. I think there's no way to make the strips with this kind of fiber, but I can try.

Really hard to tell what kind of fabric it is - the photo is very grainy, dark, and out of focus. I just see a blob of shapeless color.

Anyhow, you should still be able to cut 1-2 inch wide strips of fabric, then knot and braid them together. Don't know why you think you can't.

It was because the kind of fiber... I'll try, let's see what happens.

cut your strips about 1 1/2" wide, twist them into strings (or you can twist as you go) and braid them. It should hold together long enough to braid. Once braided, it should be fairly strong.
