Try undoing it and wrapping each 'tube' with a satin ribbon, just pinned into the top to help keep the hair in place while braiding. When the braid is done ( pull it fairly tight too, it'll help hold its shape ), just unpin each ribbon and pull them out from the bottom.

Seifer-sama: I've tried several times to upload photos, but they dissapear with no reason. I don't know what I'm not doing right. I'm embroiding now the line of the lower part of the skirt, so I have so much work before I could make some motifs.

@ Emiko & LKD: Ha ha, you are both crazies. But in a cool way.

@ Aeviking: Are you trying to upload the photos to the forum or to the actual site? Honestly I could never figure out how to put them in the forum... but if it's actual site trouble, you might want to look for the troubleshooting thread and see if one of the site people can help. As far as embroidery goes, I think the line was one of the more difficult pieces because you have to keep it straight and uniform. Good luck though!!

emiko, lovely but you're crazy i want to eventually do it, but mine will be months of deliberation like cinderella hahahaha and i need to find the perfect fabric. i have something in my head i want, but i just havent seen it.

no updates here. im on costume hold till after the holidays when my schedule goes back to normal. already thinking about next years mnsshp, but not sure what. i think jane could be super fun, but with ben and brian doing wreck it ralph, and fix it felix.... apparently mommy has to be a princess! lol funny how that works out.

Seifer- The thought of taking Sally apart makes my stomach churn, but ugh, she needs it. lol

So, I am burdened with the cursed yards-upon-yards-of-fabric-I-bought-for-X-costume-that-ended-up-not-being-what-I-wanted plague. And now I don't know what to do with most of it. I will list what I have here (I may add pictures later if it will help) so that, if you want, some of you ladies may be able to help me decide what to do with it.

-4 yds turquoise dull satin (originally purchased for KTG Ariel's skirt)
-4 yds butter yellow shantung (originally for Snow White's skirt, but I want something more saturated). I am considering using it for Anya's Dream Gown
-2-3 yds of bright scarlet red material, not really a satin; it's a strange polyester with a shantung-like texture
-6 yds silver/grey taffeta with a veiny design (for Cinderella before I noticed the veins, I have new Cindy fabric now)
-6 yards of light dusty blue dull satin

I think I have more stuff to add to the list, but I'll have to check when I get home next week. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

@ Suzie Blue: I can totally understand not wanting to take her apart. She looks like she was a monster to put together. But in the end, you would probably be happier with her if you did fix her, but it's your call. As for the fabric, could the blues and the greys you have work for Jadis (Narnia)? The veins might actually look cool for that costume.

My next Disney cosplay is going to be Wendy but I'm trying to decide whether or not to take advantage of these sales to get my wig for her or others..of the next 3 cosplay, she's the cheapest so I kinda want to use the opportunity to get the most expensive one..we shall see..I really want to make my pink Ariel dress as well haha SO UNDECISIVE

I have a couple of Tink (maybe a Vidia) commissions to do..I'll probably spam you with those XD I found out how their harnesses work at the park..kinda want to try and use the same method..except they don't make double sided invisible zippers Dx do they?!

Hi everyone! After some thinking and deciding I going to try and do Princess Jasmine! I have found a pattern for the pants but I'm not sure how I'm going to do the top. AND THE HAIR! So much hair. Also the shoes and her earrings. Yeah it's a lot. Any tips would be welcome. Also any idea on the best fabric to use. I'm not doing satin at any cost due to wrinkling. Ehhhh.

Looking at all your progress pictures really make me want to start my Ursula cosplay. Sadly it will have to wait till after Christmas. I have a feeling it is going to take me longer then many of my other cosplays, so I really need to get started probably in March. I have two designs in the works at the moment. One of them the tentacles are attached to a belt with a dress underneath. The second idea is to have them attached to a bodice. I am still debating. I am really leaning toward the bodice idea but then I will have to do boning (which such a pain some days) oh well I guess it would be an experience

So.... I think I may need shooting for my loss of insanity. I just agreed with my friend that we'd do designer Ariel and designer Vanessa together at some point XP! How the FECK am I gonna tackle Ariel's dress!!???

On another Ariel note: I got the most gorgeous bikini in the sale today thats purple that will work for an Ariel inspired bikini for my trip to DisneyWorld next year!! I'm gonna get green briefs and shorts and add to the waistband so it looks like there's a waist fin on it! ^_^

Nessa- I know there's a pretty good picture of Vanellope's ending outfit in I believe The Little Golden Book version. I've also found a few pictures from bootlegs of the movie, which are low quality, but something. I can send them to you on facebook if you want.

Suzie- Even though you said that you got new Cindy fabric, the veiny stuff could still work, especially since her new dress has designs on it. Do you have pictures of any of the material? All the blues are making me think Jasmine and Aurora, especially some of the outfits they wear in the parks.
