For me the most random place.. Last year I went home from work and saw some people in Naruto costumes on the bus. Actually they were really.. incompatible with others so many people staring at them.

Heh, the thing is I was IN cosplay at the time, so I am not sure it counts, but the most random place I've spotted cosplayers is on the Skytrain in Vancouver, Candada. It was when Anime Evolution was still running so all we really did was look across from one another until I had the guts to ask, "Anime Evolution?" they said, "yes," and that was the extent of our exchange.
I have to admit I usually am the person you'd comment about seeing in a strange place in cosplay. I used to stay with my mom for Anime Evolution so I had to take public transit every single time... for about eight years straight that I went I got strange looks heading to that convention.

I saw two cosplayers running around Target. I wanted to say hi and ask who their characters were, but I was too shy.

At the mall. O_o There was no convention in town that weekend, it was just some folks having lunch in Naruto cosplays. Maybe they had a shoot nearby.

Do I qualify? I went to the première of Wreck-It Ralph as Fix-It Felix.

A few days later, I was ordering from A&W and someone at one of the tables spoke to me "Hey, it's Fix-It Felix."

I guess I was spotted in a random place out of cosplay O_o

I'm usually the one people spot in odd places. . o. I don't know how I'd react to seeing other cosplayers in random places.

Ran across a furrie at a fabric warehouse and a woman dressed hair to toe in pink at a weekend bike ride. However, they may have been in daily dress and not cosplay.
Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs had better get used to it.

I saw three people sitting all next to others in the tram once and they were unintentionally cosplaying Rikku from FFX-2, Nana Oosaki and Leon Kennedy o_O It was really weird.

I was coming back from The Big Gig at the NEC, and I saw a person in fluffy white ears ad a blue shirt, sat on the floor and curled up. On the train, there were a load of Jokers. Seriously, there was a herd of them!

But then again, MCM was on at the same time... T.T

I also saw a Panda Hero in Delta magazine. You know, the airline.

At my old place, I use to take the bus home. It was a 12 block walk from the bus stop. I remember walking to m house, and spotting two kids in Akatsuki cloaks about two blocks up. It was, interesting.

Another time~ we went to the beach after AX. And a Goku cosplayer skating down the sidewalk XD It was AWESOME!! I mean I know AX is rather large, and seeing someone in cosplay a few hours after the event isn't that uncommon. But it was 2-3 hours away from the convention center. So I count it 8D

Also saw some South Park cosplayers at a theme park a year ago. Then again~ I live in Colorado so~
Upcoming cosplays:

Naraku - Inu-yasha
Diamond - Sakizou
Ketchawacha armor - Monster Hunter 4
Casual Hiro - Big Hero 6

My user name is pronounced: Sa-tu-our.
