How bad of an idea is this?...

Hello! I'm a first time cosplayer planning to attend (&cosplay at) Otakon this year. I'm actually attending my first con in a few months (Katsucon!)... I'm very excited. c:
Unfortunately, though, I won't be cosplaying for my first convention.

Buuut! for Otakon, I wanted to cosplay as Gohan.
Genderbend Gohan. Fem!Gohan. A female Son Gohan.... :'D

I wanted to use the Namekian clothes he wears in the Cell Saga, but instead of pants, I was going to fashion the half undearneath the waistband into a skirt.... then wear some kind of compression shorts underneath...
Something VERY SIMILAR to what the fem!Goku in this piece of fanart is wearing... o:

I was planning on doing the SSJ1 form, and I was going to make the wig look like the original SSJ Gohan hair, and just make the bits around my face longer and more feminine. and then, of course, use make up (obviously) and wrap my bust (bust not completely! still want to make it obvious that i'm a female Gohan... just enough so i'm comfy, because the ... deep v is so deep on the outfit... xD )
The shoes I'm.... still trying to figure out how to do.

ANYWAY, what do you guys think? I'd just like some second opinions. I've never seen this done before. / :

I haven't watched the anime yet, but of course I know of the character, lol. I think it's a great idea, and the character design looks really good^^

it's perfectly fine and originality is appreciated.

So you really have nothing to fear so long as your cosplay isn't in bad taste.
