Hi,
I'm pretty new at this and was wondering how to get patterns/designs and such onto clothing?
When I did sakura from naruto, I just used an iron on transfer and cut out the shape from the fabric, but this time Im doing Boa Hancock and her patterns are larger and more ornate.

Know of any katana swords tutorials made out of con safe stuff that's not wood? Need to make Inuyasha's sword in normal form and 4 others

The first thing that comes to mind is fabric paint and stenciles.

Look under the props/accessories/armour section. Some interesting results came up when I typed in sword, katana, Tetsusaiga, tutorial, and yasha. There is a generic how to make blank sword.

Try this link. It might help. You can PM the original poster for info. Also, look under cosplay by series J-rock/J-pop. There is a sub thread for Vocaloid. The problem is I know how I'd put the costume together, but don't thing I could explain it.

Yes there is more. It looks like there are several ways to do the top of Len's IM cosplay. The two I've seen the most of are a off the shoulder ren farie wentches top thingy (like the first link on the previous post) or neck straps and free standing sleeveshttp://www.fanpop.com/spots/vocaloid...on-black-photo. The skirt in all cases is a flounce skirt and you can get the pattern from several Civil War era sites. Simplicity used to have one, Truely Victorian cares onehttp://www.trulyvictorian.net/tvxcar...6&cat=1&page=1, and past patterns has one. Past patterns also has a rep for patterns that don't come out right, holes and buttons don't line up, sizes run small, etc. Don't try Past Patterns if your new at sewing.

For the top I'd try either Simplicity 1773 or 9966. You will have to do some modifying in all cases, but they can used as a base. A modisty panel can be easly added to both the Simplicity tops for example.

Hello everyone! I am planning on cosplaying as adult reborn from katekyo hitman reborn and I need help with making his pistols and possibly holsters as well. I've never really made any props apart from a kisame sword so if someone could post a user friend tutorial id appreciate it greatly. Thanks

Hello everyone!

I bought an Angewomon cosplay and sadly the helm came all full of little roles and the joint parts can be seen. Its made of foam and I need a way to eliminate those, but its hard since the helm is already complete.

I'm a first time cosplayer so I decided on doing something simple like mareep the only problem I am having is the tail. Are there any alternatives to making a stuffed one? I already made the ears out of model magic and I think it would look strange (since I made them shiny)

That sucks, try searching the props/accessories/armour section. Better yet start a new thread with pictures.

There are several fabrics that are shiny. If they seem flimsey line them with something heavier. A stuffed one seems the easiest option.
