I am VERY new to cosplay, and I want to start with a few disney princesses as they are simple, and i would be able to reuse the outfits as general fancy dress if I don't enjoy this as much as I'm expecting.. (I hope that makes sense)

I have just order myself a 30", dark red wig (already curled but heat resistant up to 100 degrees centigrade) which I am hoping to pair up with an outfit to create an ariel style costume. I like the idea of creating her first land outfit, here.
I have seen a few which I like the design of, here and here.

I would love as much help as I can have from you to create my very first cosplay outfit, including how to create the dress, how to style the wig, props and accessories or even make-up

For hair and makeup, YouTube will be a great resource. Multiple people have recorded tutorials for styling her bangs, as well as interpreting her makeup.

Subsequently, you can look up tutorials on how to make your eyes bigger, like Ariel's, and pair that with a red lip.

I would recommend posting in the Disney forums regarding her dress and props, as the cosplayers there collectively have the most experience doing Disney costumes and outfits. Hope some of this helps!
