adding a print to a dress?
I am dressing up as Miss. Fortune from the game League of Legends in her Secret Agent outfit. As seen here:
MissFortune_3.jpg I'm having a friend of mine sew the dress, and the fabric I'll be buying will be a satin like material. On her dress she has a floral pattern that I'm not quite sure how to put on the dress. I was considering painting the design on but because I'm not much of an artist i'm very afraid of messing up on the dress and wasting the money I spent getting the dress made. Does anyone else have any other ideas for duplicating the look of that pattern? here is a link of an animation of that character. http://www.lolking.net/models/?champion=21&skin=3 Thanks in advance ![]() And is there a way to embed an image into a post so I wouldn't have to add the picture as an attachment? |

The best way to get paint on a garment is before the garment is made. An experienced seamstress will have no trouble laying out the pattern to fit the fabric design. This doubly protects the final garment as it allows you mistakes at the cost of only a bit more fabric and not a whole new dress

also, test ur painting techniques on a test piece of fabric first. this will not only let you know if a)your paint is dark enough but b)let you practice your lines with different brushes.
as for the image imbeding if you link a picture from like google there is a way. in the text bar where u link webpages there should be an icon of a picture. that will put the picture in. but it has to be linked from a website for it to work
